Being an earth sign, the material world is a big focus for the sign of Taurus. Acquisitive by nature, their earning potential and financial security is of great concern to them. Most born under this constellation desire to be comfortably off in order to satisfy their love of the good life and creature comforts.

Practical by nature, Taureans are very reliable and dependable and like to feel secure about all aspects of their lives. Instigating change is alien to a Taurus, so they can feel very insecure when changes are afoot and prefer to maintain the status quo. As they like to cling to what they know and are comfortable with, Taurus can be rather boring as well as possessive. However, it should not be forgotten that this is one of the warmest, affectionate, loving and sensitive signs who will be loyal and faithful to the end.

Ruled by the planet Venus, many Taureans may display an artistic or musical talent as well as being generally good looking. As Taurus rules the throat, many famous singers are born under this sign. Venus also gives Taurus a liking for luxurious creature comforts and anything aesthetically pleasing that appeals to the senses. They respond well to touch, so a sensual massage or Egyptian cotton sheets will really hit the spot. Unfortunately, too much of the good life does tend to lead to over indulgence, a large waistline, laziness and generally slobbing out.

Being a fixed sign, Taurus can have a reputation for being rather stubborn or inflexible. Once they have made their mind up about something, they are unlikely to change it and often come across as rather rude or opinionated.
