LThe most intense of all the water signs it's all or nothing when it comes to the sign of Scorpio, like a simmering volcano waiting to erupt. Ruled by transformative Pluto, this sign more than any has to deal with a lot of change. Being the survivors of the zodiac, the inner strength they possess often stems from experience of personal challenges or crisis.

With a crippling desire to be the best and get what they want, Scorpios never give up and can be ruthless at times. Being a fixed sign, Scorpio is strong willed, persistent, persevering and determined, with the stamina of a marathon runner in its approach to all matters. Good at extracting information and personal details from others, they give little away about themselves as they find it difficult to talk about they're feelings and hate to show any weakness. With observant and perceptive minds, they can see what's going on beneath the surface and are difficult to hoodwink, but they can be overly suspicious. Scorpio is obsessed with getting to the root of the matter, so plotting and formulating plans are second nature to them and they are great at persuading others to their point of view.

The control freaks of the zodiac, they see money as power and there is often an emphasis on financial matters. With a powerful, smouldering and sexy presence, they are renowned for their jealousy and possessiveness. Scorpio may go where others fear to tread and often shows an interest in the occult or anything taboo. Most have a sting in their tail and can bear grudges, but are very loyal and trustworthy if you treat 'em right.
